And to heal, you must first allow yourself to feel everything
Healing, whether physical, emotional, energetic, or spiritual, demands immense courage. It requires facing your greatest fears and acknowledging suppressed emotions. While I’d love to offer a magical formula to bypass this process, the truth lies in embracing what unfolds.
Your Experiences Are Part of Your Journey
Life is like a roller coaster ride. Every experience—whether joyful or challenging—shapes your growth and understanding of love. It's like a testing ground when you confront your deepest fears and raw emotions. You’re pushed to your limits, facing anxiety, disappointments, grief, and sadness.
But remember, these moments are temporary. Your task is to acknowledge those feelings, let them go, and free yourself from their grip.
Your mind acts as both a shield and a lens. Sometimes, it gets clouded when you encounter the unfamiliar. Questions arise: ‘‘What happens if I let go of control?‘‘, ‘‘How do I handle overwhelming emotions?’’, ‘‘Can I endure pain?’’. But here’s the truth: unearthing and releasing suppressed emotions can be tough.
The key is to embrace discomfort. Remind yourself: ‘‘I can face this’’ and let those emotions rise, greet them, and allow yourself to soar beyond their limits.
Take a moment of stillness and reflect: What are you truly afraid of—the pain itself or how you’ll react to it? Trust your intuition; the answer will become clear. As you embark on your healing journey and become more attuned to yourself, you’ll notice energy shifts within your body.
Sometimes, as you unblock energy centers (like the throat chakra), physical symptoms may arise—such as a sore throat, cold-like symptoms, or coughing. This is normal; your energy is realigning. During this process, be kind to yourself. Rest, nourish your body, and explore activities that bring you joy—whether it’s photography, painting, or reading. Remember, the pain is part of the path to self-discovery.
I’ve experienced this too—surrendering felt like lifting a heavy weight from my core as if shedding layers of old patterns and fears. It was like standing in a sunlit clearing after being lost in a dense forest. The pain transformed into a catalyst for growth, and I found strength in vulnerability. Sometimes, the most profound healing occurs when we release resistance and allow life to flow through us.
Here are some techniques I’ve personally used to release suppressed emotions and cleanse my energetic field. These practices emerged during moments of stillness and meditation, guided by intuition. Feel free to adapt them to your unique experience:
The Practice of Letting Go Meditation Technique
One of my favourite techniques for letting go is the “feel and release” meditation. Here’s how it works:
Quiet Your Mind
Begin by seeking out a serene environment where you can relax your mind. Take slow, deep breaths to help center yourself and bring a sense of calmness into your being.
Explore Your Inner Landscape
Tune into your inner world, noticing the shifts in your thoughts, feelings, and physical state as your mind quiets down. Delve into the sensations that arise, letting yourself fully experience them.
Forgiveness
Take a moment to recognize any lingering pain, resentment, or past hurts. Practice forgiveness towards yourself and others, allowing any pent-up emotions to surface. Tears are a natural part of this process, offering a release that aids in your healing journey.
Deeper and Deeper
Embrace the discomfort and allow it to penetrate deeper within you. Trust in the transformative power of this journey, knowing that eventually, a sense of peace will rise to the surface, bringing healing and clarity.
Visualisation Technique
If the practice of meditation does not resonate with you, you may explore this method:
Setting the Scene: Tranquil Space
Find a tranquil corner within your living environment. Perhaps it’s a sunlit nook by the window or a cozy spot on your balcony. Light a fragrant incense—a gentle reminder of serenity—and let its soothing aroma fill the air. Play calming melodies—soft piano notes or the gentle strumming of a guitar. Open the window and invite the gentle breeze to dance with you.
Comfortable Positioning
Settle into a comfortable posture. You can choose to sit cross-legged, grounding yourself, or reclining, allowing your body to fully relax. Close your eyes and imagine the scene unfolding.
The Sunlit Beach
Picture yourself on a peaceful beach. The sun hangs low in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow. The sand beneath your feet is soft, and the rhythmic waves kiss the shore. Feel the sun’s comforting embrace on your skin—the same way it warms your soul.
Unspoken Emotions
Now, envision someone standing before you—an individual to whom you’ve never fully expressed your emotions. Maybe it’s a friend, a family member, or a lost love. Their presence stirs feelings within you—unspoken sentiments, unrevealed apologies, or the yearning for forgiveness.
The Dialogue
Begin the dialogue. Shed tears if needed—release the weight of unspoken words. Offer heartfelt apologies, even if only in your mind. Exchange smiles—the kind that bridge gaps and heal wounds. Embrace them, as if time rewinds to moments when you were close. Perhaps share a tender kiss—a symbol of reconciliation.
Shared Memories
Immerse yourself in this exchange. Recall shared memories—the laughter, the tears, the quiet conversations. Feel the weight of unexpressed feelings lift like a tide receding from the shore. Allow healing to flow through you.
Gratitude
As the scene unfolds, express gratitude. Thank this person for their impact on your journey—the lessons learned, the growth experienced. Acknowledge their role in shaping who you are today.
Repeat and Release
Repeat this visualization until you feel only gratitude and peace. Each time, let go a little more. Allow forgiveness to wash over you, like waves smoothing rough edges. And as you open your eyes, carry this newfound serenity with you into the world.
